I owe you a great deal, my dear sir. Like you, I would describe myself as a flat board woodworker, but after discovering your work, as well as that of Sam Maloof, I set myself the goal of building a rocking chair to mark my retirement on June 30.
Although I will be stepping down from my position as a woodworking technician in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Ottawa, I have no intention of stopping there or spending my days simply rocking… as enjoyable as that may be! On the contrary, building this chair has reignited my passion for woodworking—and you have played a major role in that.
Your videos accompanied me throughout this project, and I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned from them. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across an instructor like you.
