I was often asked to design a children’s rocker project, but was not sure about the size of the child or how it should differ from my sculptured rocker. With the birth of a grandson, I became motivated and enthusiastically embraced the project. My child’s rocker has evolved into one of my favorite projects. My grandson carries a little stuffed bear with him all the time, thus the name for the chair. The outline of a teddy bear is carved in low relief into the back support. You could carve anything there: a flower, the Sun, initials, a team logo, or leave it bare not bear! LOL!
